01 Scope
This Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings made through www.accommodationinbucharest.com (the "Website") and forms an integral part of the Terms and Conditions. By making a booking, you accept this Cancellation Policy.
This policy describes the conditions under which a booking can be cancelled or modified, and the corresponding refund entitlements. The cancellation terms displayed on the page of a specific Property/offer at the time of booking take precedence over this general policy, if different.
02 Standard cancellation terms
Unless a different policy is explicitly stated on the Property's booking page, the following standard terms apply:

03 How to cancel a booking
3.1 To cancel a booking, the Guest must notify the Operator in writing, by email at adela.accommodation@gmail.com, stating the booking reference and the reason for cancellation (optional).
3.2 The cancellation is considered effective on the date the written request is received by the Operator. The number of days before arrival, used to determine the applicable refund tier (Section 2), is calculated based on this date.
04 Refund process
4.1 Approved refunds are processed using the same payment method/bank account used for the original payment.
4.2 Refunds are processed within 2 business days of the cancellation being confirmed by the Operator.
4.3 Any bank transfer fees charged by the Guest's bank for receiving the refund are the responsibility of the Guest and will be deducted from the refunded amount, where applicable.
05 Withdrawal right exemption
Important — statutory withdrawal right does not apply
In accordance with Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance No. 34/2014 on consumer rights in contracts concluded with professionals (transposing EU Directive 2011/83/EU), Article 16(l), the 14-day withdrawal right specific to distance contracts does not apply to accommodation service contracts that provide for a specific date or period of performance.
Accordingly, the cancellation and refund terms set out in this policy (Section 2) are the only terms under which a booking may be cancelled, and they replace any general statutory withdrawal right that might otherwise apply to online purchases.
06 Modifications to a booking
6.1 Requests to change the dates of a booking (rather than cancel it) will be accommodated where possible, subject to availability of the Property for the new dates.
6.2 If a requested modification cannot be accommodated, the standard cancellation terms in Section 2 will apply to the original booking.
6.3 Modification requests must be sent in writing to adela.accommodation@gmail.com.
07 Cancellations by the Operator
7.1 In rare cases, the Operator may need to cancel a confirmed booking (e.g., due to unforeseen circumstances affecting the Property's availability, or for reasons described in Section 5.4 of the Terms and Conditions — suspected fraud or unverifiable identity).
7.2 In such cases, the Operator will notify the Guest as soon as possible and will refund 100% of the amount paid, unless the cancellation is due to a breach of the Terms and Conditions by the Guest.
08 Force majeure
If a booking cannot be honoured, by either party, due to an event of force majeure (natural disasters, decisions by public authorities, pandemics, travel restrictions, etc.), the parties will agree on rescheduling the stay or refunding the amounts paid, as described in the Terms and Conditions.
09 Changes to this policy
This Cancellation Policy may be updated from time to time. The terms applicable to a booking are those displayed on the Website at the time the booking was confirmed.
